Ingredients

16 ounces package Premio frozen pepper and onion mushroom sausage
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup snipped cilantro
1 teaspoon lime pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 cups baking mix (I use bisquick)
1/2 cup cold water
1 egg beaten

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cook and crumble sausage.
Mix sausage, onion, cheese, cilantro, lime pepper and red pepper flakes set aside.
Stir baking mix and water into a soft dough. Knead five or 6 times on floured board. Roll into rectangle. about 14x10 inches. Spread with sausage mixture. Roll up beginning with long side. With sealed edge down shape into a ring on greased cookie sheet making sure all ends are sealed. Score ring at 1 inch intervals . Make sure sausage filling is visable. Brush with beaten egg. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
