Ingredients
BREAD PUDDING:
9 cups bread crumbs
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
VANILLA SAUCE:
2 1/2 cups milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons butter

BREAD PUDDING:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, eggs, and salt.
In a saucepan on the stovetop, scald the milk; then pour the scaled milk over bread crumb mixture.
Allow to cool; then stir in the remaining bread pudding ingredients.
Pour into a casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes.
VANILLA SAUCE:
In a saucepan, heat the milk; then stir in the sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Cook until boiling.
Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and butter. Allow the sauce to cool; then pour it over the baked bread pudding.
