Easy Apple Dumplings 9 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples
  • 2 cans refrigerator crescent rolls
  • 2 sticks butter (not margarine)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 - 12 ounce can Sprite, Mountain Dew, etc.
Directions
Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices. Roll each apple slice in a crescent triangle-starting at the widest part. Try to wrap ends around the slice. Place apples in a buttered 9x13 glass baking dish.

Melt butter. (I did this in the microwave.) Add sugar and whisk well. Add vanilla. Pour sugar mixture over rolls evenly. Pour soda around the edges of the baking dish. (Not over rolls) Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, spooning some of the sauce on each serving.

**I use DIET Sprite because of the high amount of sugar used. Works fine

**You can also use pears in place of the apples. YUMMY!
