Chocolate Dainties Recipe

  • 2 sticks margarine, softened (1 cup sticks)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup dry cocoa
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
Extra powdered sugar to roll baked cookies in.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and water. Sift flour with cocoa and stir in. Add nuts and mix well. Form into small rolls about 2" long and 3/4" in diameter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300° about 20 min. While hot, roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll in powdered sugar again. Makes about 3 dozen small cookies.
