Moka Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup coffee
  • Frosting
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cocoa
  • 3/4 cup coffee
  • Coat with
  • 2 cups coconut
  • 2 cups peanuts, ground
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Dissolve soda in cream, add to creamed mixture with beaten egg yolks. Add flour, salt and baking powder, alternating with coffee. Bake in greased 9x13 inch pan at 350° for 15-20 minutes. Cool and cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Heat frosting ingredients and mix together until sticky. Take each square and drop in frosting, then drop in combined coconut and peanuts. Place on wax paper and let set. Makes about 100 squares.
