No Bake Granola Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup Margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups corn syrup or 1-1/2 cup honey (if using honey, omit sugar)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup coconut (optional)
  • 5 cups quick oatmeal
Directions
Boil first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes (first 2 ingredients if using honey). Add vanilla, salt and peanut butter. Stir in coconut and oatmeal. Press into greased 10" x 15" pan. Cool completely. Cut into 32 bars - 1-1/4" x 3-1/2".

Note: Can add chocolate chips, raisins, sunflower seeds, nuts, etc. If adding chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top after pressing into pan.
