Beet Pickles 2 Recipe

Ingredients
Beets
1 cup water or water drained from beets
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon all -purpose salt
2 cups vinegar
spices to taste
Directions
Boil tender beets, peel and cut up as desired. Bring to a boil water, sugar, salt, vinegar and spices to taste. Add beets to this and bring to a good boil. Fill into jars and seal. For spices I use whole cloves and a stick of cinnamon, not too much of either one. Tie in a small cloth bag for each jar.
