| Directions | Boil tender beets, peel and cut up as desired. Bring to a boil water, sugar, salt, vinegar and spices to taste. Add beets to this and bring to a good boil. Fill into jars and seal. For spices I use whole cloves and a stick of cinnamon, not too much of either one. Tie in a small cloth bag for each jar. |
