Flat Bread Dough Recipe

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons coarse salt
  • 3/4 cup water
In large bowl, combine flour, whole wheat flour, olive oil & coarse salt. Mix in water (adding more if necessary) to form a stiff dough. Turn dough out onto a work surface & knead 5 minutes. Place dough in bowl and cover with damp towel; let rest 30 minutes. Divide dough into 8 balls, then roll out into 6-8 inch rounds. Keep covered with damp cloth until ready to cook. Wipe skillet with lightly oiled paper towel. Cook one at a time until puffy and dark tan-brown in spots; about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes per side.
