Biscuits Supreme 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup milk
Directions
Use fork to cut shortening into dry ingredients. Knead gently 10 to 12 strokes to blend all ingredients. For crusty biscuits, place 3/4 inch apart on baking sheet. Brush tops with milk or light cream before baking for golden color. Bake on non-greased baking sheet in 450° oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 16 biscuits.
