HAMBURGER BUNS 2 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 2 packages active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups warm water (110 degree)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Eggs
Directions
In a large mixer bowl, combine 4 cups flour and 2 pkgs active dry yeast. Combine warm water, oil, sugar and salt. Add to mixture in bowl eggs. Beat at low speed with mixer for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl. Beat 3 minutes at high speed. By hand, stir in rest of the flour to make a soft dough.

Turn out on floured surface; kneed until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turning once. Cover; let rise in warm place until double, (covered) about 1 hour. Punch down; divide dough in 3 equal portions (two if making loaves of brad) Cover; let rest 5 minutes. Divide each portion into 8 balls. Turn balls in hands, folding edges under to make even circle. Press flat between hands. Place n greased baking sheets, pressing 3 1/2 inch circles. Cover, let rise until double, about 1/2 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Brush with butter. Let cool on baking rack until cold. Store in plastic bags.
