Chimichurri Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 fresh parsley leaves (packed)
  • 1/4 fresh oregano leaves (packed), or fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 olive oil
  • 1/4 red wine vinegar
  • 3 garlic
  • 1 crushed red pepper flakes (dried)
  • 1/2 ground cumin
  • salt to taste
  • 1 shallot, minced
Container: food processor or immersion blender
Directions
  • Just before serving, combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Sauce is served at room temperature. If sauce separates prior to serving, whisk to combine. Serve on the side with meat or vegetables. This sauce can also be used as a marinade.
