French Onion and Olive Tart Recipe

An easy tart to make for a luncheon that looks festive and is flavorful to eat.
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Use the purchased pie crust to line 9" pie plate or tart pan. With a fork, poke holes in bottom of crust and along sides before pre-baking. Bake crust for 9 minutes or until light golden in color. Remove from oven.
  • Peel onions and slice. In a large skillet, heat oil and cook onions for 15 minutes-- or until soft and golden in color. Stir frequently.
  • Spread onions over baked crust and sprinkle with sliced kalamata olives and feta cheese.
  • Reduce oven temperature to 350º F. Return tart to oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
