Clam Chowder 36 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 Chopped Clams (6 ounce )
  • 4 cups Onions, finely chopped
  • 4 cups Celery, finely chopped
  • 8 cups Potatoes, finely chopped
  • 3 cups butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 quarts Half and Half
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Boil onion, celery, and potatoes until fork tender. Set aside. In heavy dutch oven over medium heat, melt together butter and flour. Add half and half. Cook until thick. Add salt and pepper and sugar. Gradually add vegetable mixture, with water. Stir together, heat until warm. Serve.
