Pork Chop Stew Recipe

  • 4 or 5 large pork chops
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon Greek seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 each chopped onion and celery (1 cup each)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 potatoes (large)
  • 1 package frozen mixed vegetables (small pkg)
  • 1/2 pound smoked links (optional)
Debone, defat and cut chops up into medium to small pieces. Mix flour with Greek seasoning, salt and pepper. Shake port, flour and seasonings in bag. Put in stew pot and brown with chopped onion and celery. Mix well mushroom soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, and any flour mixture that is left over.Add to meat. Add 1/2 lb, smoked link sausage cut into medium slices and simmer for 2 - 3 hours. How long depends on how big the pork pieces are. Add more water later if gravy is too thick. Add potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes and vegetables. Cook until vegetables are done. Salt and pepper to taste, if needed.
