Gallon Refrigerator Pickles Recipe

  • Brine
  • 1/2 cup canning salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups white vinegar
Put dill, onion, and garlic in the bottom of a 1 gallon jar. Add cucumbers to jar until half full. Add more dill, onion, and garlic to the jar and fill to the top with cucumbers. Place dill, onion, and garlic on the top of the jar. Mix the brine thoroughly and pour over the cucumbers and add enough cold water to fill the jar. Cover and shake well a couple of times the first day. Leave the jar sit on your counter for 48 hours. Refrigerate after this.
