Pottsfield Pickles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 quarts green tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 quarts ripe tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 quarts cabbage
  • 1 bunch celery
  • 3 green peppers
  • 1 quart chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 quart Vinegar
Directions
Chop and combine tomatoes, cabbage, celery, peppers and onions. Sprinkle with salt. Let stand over night. Drain. Add cinnamon, allspice, cloves, sugar and vinegar. Boil for 30 minutes. Bottle hot.
