Classic Panna Cotta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 packages KNOX gelatin, non-flavored
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup flavoring agent of choice (Espresso,Kahlua,Creme de Menthe. etc.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Directions
Dissolve gelatin completely in 3/4 cup of water until no lumps. Bring 3 cups of heavy whipping cream to a scald (bubbles start forming around edge of saucepan). Add sugar and stir until all sugar is incorporated into the cream. Add gelatin, vanilla and flavoring agent. Stir and mix all ingredients well. Pour mixture into plastic cups half way up. Chill and let panna cotta set until firm/solid. Optional: Garnish top with mixture of fresh berries soaked in Triple Sec or Cointreau and a sprig of fresh mint or peppermint.
