PASTRY FLAKY PIE CRUST Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1/3 cup cold water
Directions
Sift together flour and salt.

Add shortening and cut in until mixture resembles corn meal.

Combine egg, vinegar and water and add to flour mixture.

Stir lightly with a fork in a bowl.

Form into a ball.

Chill.

Makes two 9 inch double crust pies.
