Make them as needed or ahead of time and reheat to bring back their original crispiness. Cut open and fill them with butter and fruit jam, ice cream and chocolate sauce, marinated fresh fruit and whipped cream, or whatever suits your taste.

  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • pinch salt

  • Butter four custard cups or a muffin pan and place in the oven and heat at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 4 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix the ingredients. Pour equal amounts into the cups or muffin pan and cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes or until browned and the exposured surface is crisp.
