Valentine's Day Dessert Cheese Ball Recipe

This cherry chip cheese ball is sure to have all your sweethearts smiling, both young and old. This yummy treat is a fun way to show them that they are your special valentines.

Ingredients
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened (8 oz. pkg)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup cherry chips (can use more if desired)

  • Beat the cream cheese, butter and flavoring till fluffy.
  • Gradually blend in the powdered sugar and brown sugar; beat until smooth.
  • Stir in the cherry chips. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Once it has been chilled, remove from the refrigerator and place in the middle of a plate. Mold it into the shape of a heart. You can use the back of a spoon or your hands to do the shaping.
  • After you have it in the heart shape, smooth the surface the best you can and decorate with additional cherry chips or valentine sprinkles.
  • Serve it with graham crackers, plain, cinnamon or chocolate.
