Pork Chops with Yams Recipe

  • 4 - 6 pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick)
  • 1 - 16 ounce can yams (drained)
  • 1 - 10 1/2 ounce can golden mushroom soup or cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 cup water
Brown chops over medium heat. Transfer chops to crock pot. Place yams over chops. In bowl combine soup, sour cream, and water. Pour over yams and chops. Cover and slow cook on No. 3 setting for 7 hours, or set on No. 4 for 4 - 5 hrs. NOTE: I've used pork steak instead of pork chops and it is OK.
