Simple Lasagna Recipe

Homemade lasagna that is easy to make. This uses the help from spaghetti sauce rather than seasoning up your own tomato sauce. Serve it with a nice green salad and garlic bread for a complete meal.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package lasagna noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 ounces cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
  • Cook ground beef; drain.
  • Simmer beef, sauce, and water for 5 minutes.
  • Mix cottage cheese, egg, cheese, and oregano.
  • In a 9x13 pan place 1/2 cups meat sauce. Then layer 4 noodles. Spread 1/3 of the cheese and egg mixture over the noodles. Spread 1 cup of meat sauce.
  • Repeat above layers 2 more times.
  • Top with the remaining sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 60 minutes, uncovering for the last 10 minutes.
  • Let sit for 5 minutes before cutting.

"My only complaint is that it wasn't quite saucy enough for me. I would use 1 1/2 jars of spaghetti sauce next time. Very tasty lasagna though."
