Monkey Bread or Monkey Heads Recipe

There isn't any night before prep work to this pull-apart sweet bread. Using canned biscuits cuts the preparation work way down. Surprise your family with this sweet and sticky breakfast.

Ingredients
  • 3 packages canned biscuits, quartered
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease large fluted pan.

Stir together cinnamon and white sugar; set aside. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sugar mixture and pecans, if desired, into bottom of pan.

Roll pieces of biscuit in remaining sugar mixture until well coated. Place dough in pan.

Mix brown sugar and melted butter; pour over dough balls. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until baked through. Remove from oven; invert onto serving dish.

If desired top with canned cream cheese frosting.
