Mamaw's Harvard Beets Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 beets, cooked, or 16 ounce can drained beets (small)
Directions
Mix sugar, cornstarch and vinegar. Stir over low heat until thickened. Add butter and pour over beets in saucepan and let stand for 30 minutes.
