  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.75 ounce cans)
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix (1 ounce packat)
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 5 1/2 pounds pot roast

In a slow cooker, mix cream of mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and water.

Place pot roast in slow cooker and coat with soup mixture. Cook on High setting for 3-4 hours or on Low setting for 8-9 hours.

"I coated the roast in flour and then browned in butter in a hot pan. Then I put the roast in the slow cooker and added the soup, consomme instead of water and onion soup mix to hot pan to scrape up all those delicious bits of flavor. Poured this over the top of the roast and set-it-and-forgot-it. It was DELICIOUS!"
