Chicken Supreme Casserole Recipe

  • 2 fryer, boned (large)
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 cups cornbread crumbled
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 teaspoon sage
  • 2/3 cup butter
Make a white sauce out of the butter, flour, chicken broth, milk and salt and pepper. Sauté celery, onion, sage and butter and pour over cornbread. Layer chicken, cornbread and sauce. Bake for one hour at 350°.
