Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup green pepper, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • salt and pepper, to taste
Container: Dutch oven or heavy pan

Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside. Brown ground beef with onions, green pepper, and celery until no longer pink. Combine the macaroni and beef mixture with remaining ingredients. Simmer until cooked through.

"I would never call this Goulash. I have made a batch of this which is very similar. I always called it slumgullion meaning I was adding whatever to hamburger. Family loved it."
