Ingredients
1 pound hamburger meat
1 head cabbage (medium head)
1 pound frozen okra (use less if you like)
1 onion, (or to your taste) (medium)
1 cup catsup (or tomato puree with onions and pepper)
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Fry hamburger in very little cooking oil. Add onion, salt and pepper. Cook to a light brown. Then add catsup. Let it cook slow for 10 minutes. Add a cup of water. Let cook for 3 or 5 minutes. Add your cabbage cut small. Then on top of cabbage add your okra. Don't stir. Put lid on pan and simmer till your cabbage and okra are cooked to suit your taste. Then stir all together. Ready to eat. You can store this in refrigerator for 2 days. Take out what you want to eat for one meal and leave the rest in refrigerator. You have your meat and vegetables in one meal. It's better when it sits in refrigerator. It's good with cornbread. You can use the amount you want of each thing.
