These treats will become a tradition at any adult gathering. Try many variations with the nuts and the rum, from Kalua with macadamia nuts to Malibu and coconut.

Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 cups vanilla wafers , finely crushed
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup spiced rum
  • additional powdered sugar

  • In a large bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers, sugar, cocoa, and nuts. Add in corn syrup and rum.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls, and roll in additional powdered sugar.
  • Store in an airtight container for several days to develop the flavor.
  • May want to roll in more powdered sugar before serving.
