  • Cut a 10" circle out of a piece of wax paper. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, add chocolate chips and butterscotch chips (or peanut butter chips). Microwave at 30 second intervals until the chips are melted.
  • Take a small amount of melted chocolate and spread a 3/4 inch spot of chocolate on the bottom side of the wax paper in about 3 locations. Then place the wax paper on a platter with the melted chocolate side down. This will help hold the wax paper from slipping around on the platter as you are working with the pizza. It will also keep the pizza from sliding off the platter after it is done.
  • Stir in the marshmallows, peanuts, and potato chips. Mix until evenly coated.
  • Pour the mixture unto the platter that has had the wax paper placed on it. Spread this mixture out evenly over the wax paper.
  • Sprinkle the coconut over the top and then add the cherries and M&M's (use holiday M&M's at Christmas time.)
  • Combine almond bark and shortening. Melt them in the microwave and then drizzle this mixture over the top of the chocolate pizza.
  • Chill in the refrigerator, then slice and serve.

"We had Christmas already this last weekend with my husband's family and I made this chocolate pizza to take to it. It was a big hit with the kids but I think the adults ate more of it than the kids did. I had to give the recipe to several people."
