Donut Muffins 8 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
Mix all in a bowl. Put into 12 greased muffin tins (no liners). Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes. Immediately after baking, remove from tins. Dip tops of muffins in melted butter then in cinnamon sugar mix.
