Cabbage Casserole 49 Recipe

  • 1 small-medium head of cabbage, cut inch pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped (medium)
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • Topping
  • 1 round stack of Ritz crackers
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 stick melted margarine
Mix the chopped cabbage, chopped onion, 1/2 stick of melted butter and salt and pepper to taste. Mix soup and mayonnaise and pour over vegetables.

TOPPING: Crush 1 round stack of Ritz crackers. Mix with 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese. Melt 1/2 stick margarine and pour over crackers and cheese. Spread topping over cabbage mixture and bake 40-45 minutes at 350°.
