Chicken and Noodles 17 Recipe

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 8 tablespoons water
  • 3 quarts Boiling Chicken Broth (boiled stewing chicken or canned broth)
Mix flour and salt. Beat eggs and mix with butter and water. Blend into flour mixture to make dough, add more water if needed. Divide dough in half and roll one portion out at a time on a floured board to a thickness of 1/8". Cut dough into 1-1/2" strips. Lay out noodles on a newspaper to dry until ready to use. Drop in boiling chicken broth. I usually boil a stewing chicken for the broth then if needed add canned chicken broth. Cut up chicken and add to noodles if desired.
