Easy Pineapple & Soy Sauced Tilapia Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves, packed
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (use more if you really like soy sauce)
  • 1 lime- juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons white whole wheat flour or whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 pound tilapia fillets cut into 4 pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Wax paper
Directions
Sauce:

In your food processor or blender blend until smooth lime juice and zest, soy sauce, pineapple, and basil. Set aside.

Place flour on wax paper.

Season tilapia with salt and paprika and then dip it into the flour on both sides.

Heat a large skillet to medium high.

Add oil. When oil is hot, add tilapia and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until tilapia is cooked. You'll know it's done when the outsides are crunchy and golden.

Plate cooked tilapia and drizzle with sauce.
