A water-based soup made with egg noodles, vegetables such as celery and carrots, small bits of chicken, chicken stock, and seasonings. Similar to a chicken noodle soup with vegetables, a Chicken Vegetable Soup is most often served as a lunch or dinner side dish accompanied by sandwiches or bread served with meats and cheese. There are several variations of this soup available such as Southwest-Style Chicken Noodle Soup which provides a spicier flavor and a variety of different vegetables or a hearty Chicken Vegetable soup that has a more savory broth. In addition, a Claifornia-Style Chicken Vegetable Soup is available that contains ingredients such as zucchini, mushrooms, pea beans, water chestnuts, and roasted bell peppers.
