Confused at times with another Moroccan sauce known as Charmoula, the North African sauce referred to as Chermoula is typically prepared as a marinade for use on fish or shellfish, but it can also be used on grilled vegetables. Chermoula will generally include coriander, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, pepper, and salt. However, like Charmoula, other ingredients may also be added which could consist of yogurt or yogurt cheese, tomatoes, ginger, marjoram, cilantro, and paprika.
