A type of cooking oil that is produced from the rice bran when it is removed as a by-product from the grain of rice as it is processed. It is considered to be a very healthy alternative as cooking oil, rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. This oil has a somewhat nutty flavor that enhances the taste of foods when used in processing or preparing snack foods, fried foods, and crackers.
