Vanilla Pods

The fruit from a single variety of orchid plant, which is the only orchid plant out of thousands of varieties that produces anything edible. The vanilla bean, which consists of the pod and the tiny seeds it contains, are used for flavoring and making vanilla extract and vanilla powder.
