Ham Roast

A cut of pork that is taken from the meat on the middle part of the shank bone extending to the hip bone on the hind leg of the hog. Rolled ham roast is often considered to be an excellent choice for roasting. Normally, when the meat reaches an internal temperature of 145° F, the meat should be only slightly rosy in the center and ready to eat. For preparing a roast that is well done, internal temperatures should reach 155° F.
