A cereal made of hulled and cleaned oats, called oat groats that are processed to produce different textures, such as coarse, medium and fine. Oatmeal is cooked with water to create a cereal for eating and is used in many baking recipes. The cooking time for oatmeal will vary depending on the type of oatmeal being used. Some of the types available are Old Fashioned Oats, Quick Oats and Instant Oats.
