How to Seed a Hot Pepper

RecipeTips.com's video demonstration, 'How to Seed a Hot Pepper,' describes the best and fastest way to seed a jalapeno.

Transcript:
Hi everyone! Today, I am going to show you how to take the seeds out of a hot pepper. I am going to go ahead and use jalapeno peppers, and if you are going to be working with a lot of peppers, you are going to want to use a latex glove to protect your hands, because if you get the jalapeno oils in your eyes or on your face or even underneath your fingernails, you are really going to regret it. So put your gloves on, and with a sharp knife, all you have to do is remove the stems from the pepper, and then just slice the pepper lengthwise to expose the seeds. Now just take the point end of a spoon and run it along the edge of the pepper, and the seeds will come right out with it...as easy as that. Now, remember, the seed is where the heat of the pepper is, so be careful to get all of them out of there; of course, if you want a little heat, add some to your recipe. Once the peppers are seeded, they are ready to use in whatever recipe you want. For more great information, visit RecipeTips.com.
