"What a great cake! This cake has structure but is still moist. The flavor is delicious and tastes like just a cake, not necessarily of vanilla. I do think it needs a tad more salt to round out the taste, though. I'll add ¼ tsp salt next time. If I want a specific flavor next time I can add more of a clear extract, such as almond or lemon, or flavor the icing. This is a very good cake and will be the recipe I use from now on. Thank you!"

"This is one of the first cakes I have ever baked from scratch. It turned out great! Of course, I just used a canned frosting . . . maybe next time I will tackle homemade frosting!"
