Popover Pizza Recipe

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 packet spaghettti sauce mix
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 ounce can)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Container:9 x 13 baking dish
Brown ground beef and onion; drain off grease. Add the spaghetti sauce mix, tomato sauce, and water to the ground beef. Simmer for 10 minutes. Spoon into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Top with mozzarella cheese. Place in 400° F oven to keep hot.
POPOVER BATTER: Beat together eggs, milk and oil. Add flour and salt. Beat until smooth. Pour over hot pizza filling careful to cover filling completely. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Cut into squares to serve.
