Overnight Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Frosting
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 3 Egg Yolks
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • yellow food coloring
Directions
Cake directions: Sift flour and sugar 4 times. Pour boiling water over sugar and flour; mix to a paste. Let stand until cool or overnight. Beat egg whites with salt. Add baking powder and beat until hold peaks. Add vanilla. Fold in paste mixture. Bake at 350° in ungreased pan.Mix the ingredients for frosting and cook until thick. Add food coloring and nuts (if desired), pour on cake while hot. Cover with melted chocolate.
