Cheesy Chicken and Biscuits Recipe

  • 1 package buttermilk biscuits (ready-to-make variety - tube package in supermarket refrigerator case)
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken and herbs soup
  • 1/2 can milk (about 5 1/2 ounces)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (you may want to use less)

  • In a 9x9-inch pan, make the tube of buttermilk biscuits according to the package directions.
  • Cut up the chicken breasts into bite-size pieces.
  • In a large skillet, cook the chicken in the butter.
  • Add the salt, black pepper, soup, milk, and shredded cheese.
  • After the cheese has melted, pour the mixture over the baked biscuits in the 9x9-inch pan. Cover with more cheese if desired. Bake at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly on top.
