Whirligig Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 package chocolate chips
Directions
Cream sugars, shortening and peanut butter. Add egg and beat. Sift in dry ingredients; mix well. Roll out dough. Melt chocolate chips and spread on dough. Form into a long roll and cut into slices. Bake 350° until lightly brown.
