Bread and Butter Pickles 43 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 quart sliced cucumbers
  • 2 onions (quartered) (large)
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon white mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
Directions
Place all the above except cucumbers in enameled pot

bring to a boil

Add cucumbers and onion

Boil 3 minutes, Place in hot jars and seal

Process 10 minutes at simmering temp

Makes 4-5 pints
