Company Casserole 8 Recipe

  • 8 ounces medium noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 each salt & pepper (1 teaspoon each)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 3/4 cup grated sharp American cheese
Cook noodles till tender in boiling salt water; drain and rinse with cold water. Melt butter in skillet; add meat. Cook and stir until meat has lost it's red color. Add salt, pepper, garlic salt and tomato sauce. Simmer gently 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, chopped onion and noodles. Alternate layers of noodles and meat mixture in a 2 quart buttered casserole. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 350 about 30 minutes until top is browned. Serves 6-8.
