Quick Corn Chowder 8 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 packages each) frozen corn kernels, thawed (10 ounce pkgs)
  • 2 cups frozen diced potatoes (I use hash browns inch the freezer section)
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 red bell pepper diced (small)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth (I use 2 cans of broth)
  • 3/4 pound smoked ham diced (I used a ham steak)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning (by McCormick)
  • pinch of crushed red pepper
Directions
1. Stir together corn potatoes, onions, and bell pepper in a large saucepan. Add milk and broth. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add ham, Old Bay, and crushed red pepper.

2. Simmer 15 min or until flavors are well blended and veggies are soft. Serve hot. Great with warm french bread like the Pillsbury french bread in the roll section of your grocer.
